notes:

-most generally distributed species of the Genus; occurs in many habitats, in pools with pH ranging between 6.2 and 8.3, in both polluted and fresh waters but prefers streams and ponds in more wooded areas (Millspaugh 1939)

-mate year round and nymphs found throughout the year (Millspaugh 1939)

-feed on almost any insect that falls in the water, takes many insects as they emerge from the water, also eat snails, cannibalistic (Millspaugh 1939)
